This is a fabulous villa in a fabulous location, and Marijana and the Deak family made our group of 8 adults and two children (5, 7) feel very welcome.

The villa location is fantastic - well away from the crowds of major sites but still day-trippable: Dubrovnik (1.5 hrs but watch out for border crossing to/from Bosnia), Split (2 hrs), Mostar (1 hr, but border again). The villa is isolated enough to give one a sense of wonderful privacy - the vista from the patio overlooks rolling hills with vineyards and olive groves descending to the Adriatic, with islands and the Peljesac peninsula dotting the azure water. Shops and restaurants are 15-30 min drive, and there is also local sightseeing for half-days out (Ston, Roman museum in Vid, Neretva delta, Mt peak Sveti Jure, Makarska beaches, etc. Note that there is nothing in walking distance (except pretty walks and the Rizman vineyard).

The villa itself is great - even better than we expected from the photos and floorplans. Recently renovated, bedrooms and bathrooms comfortable and immaculate. A wonderful integration of the indoors and outdoors, with various terraces where small groups can gather, a big dining table with patio doors opening out onto the beautiful view, and a fantastic outdoor kitchen and dining area overlooking the pool where we spent all our time.

Marijana and the Deak family made us feel very welcome. Wine and a lovely cake on arrival, a kind thank-you on departure. A mobile for our use with Marijana on speed-dial if needed (helpful when we wanted advice on a local restaurant).
